The Space Between - Brenna Yovanoff

I made it 63% through this, and then put it down because it wasn't holding my attention, but figured I would try to finish it at some other time. Every time I picked it up I only made a paragraph or so headway and then promptly put it down again. It's boring. The intro was great, I loved the way she told the story of how her mother met her father, but it went downhill from there for me.

I get that she isn't an emotional character and so the narrative is going to be told in that perspective, but there was nothing else about the story that made that ok. The boy in it doesn't blink an eye over all the crazy stuff that happens, and nothing feels tense or scary (or anything other than boring) at any time.
