Hallowed (Unearthly, #2) - Cynthia Hand I loved every second of this book. I want to have Christian and Tucker for myself, and suddenly I really want to go to Wyoming and look at it with new eyes.

The story picks up where the fire left off, and takes us on a more personal journey this time. I know that sounds like it would be a bit impossible considering [b:Unearthly|7488244|Unearthly (Unearthly, #1)|Cynthia Hand|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1324782984s/7488244.jpg|9621771] was already a very personal story, but this time we get to see much more of what makes Clara Clara. Her brother is going through something pretty rough that we don't get to know too much about, but I'm hoping it won't end too badly for him. I don't understand his anger towards her though when he never talked with her about whether or not he had discovered his purpose. It seems like he is going to become a Watcher, but I can't tell how much of that is red herrings from Hand. Furthermore, is Angela supposed to be coming off as bad-guy-in-the-future, or is that more misdirection, or my paranoid showing?

Be warned that this is one of those few books that have a love triangle that isn't grating and instead leaves the feeling of just anguish for the characters involved. I even hurt for Wendy because of her placement in it. Another thing about this series is that, for me, I was more frustrated than Clara was about the lack of answers to anything she was curious about! So. Frustrating.

This is definitely a series to check out if you are a fan of the paranormal, romances, great characters, beautiful scenery, humor, and touching personal stories. I actually laughed out loud, for real, when Clara was lamenting over being in a love triangle. I devoured both books and I know that am I going to find myself reading them over and over...and over again.
